Born in 1987, Boris Labbé is from the south-west of France and trained as an artist at the Beaux- Arts. Now an animator and video artist, he began his career as a draughtsman. After some ten years of artistic practice, he has remained a true artist ever since. But he has always been strongly influenced by drawing, which he sets in motion through animated film, video installation and mapping. Recently exhibited in Aix-en- Provence in an exhibition entitled "L'Infini turbulent" (Turbulent Infinity), a title borrowed from a book by Henri Michaux, Boris Labbé's work is a constant search for the way in which spaces are arranged at the heart of cycles, in the destruction and reconstruction of a dynamic specific to his work.
